RISING KITE AWARD

I had a wonderful time celebrating all things kid-lit with the Florida Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators last weekend. I was especially surprised when my name was called as a winner in this year's Rising Kite Contest. Last year, I won 3rd place in the Nonfiction category. This year, I was awarded 2nd Place in the Fiction Picture Book category. I am excited to be in such great company and beyond grateful. What a way to kick off the new year. Thank you!
