A child and mother discover all kinds of treasures as they spend a golden summer day together.

On one hot summer day, when it’s too hot to even play, a child and mother head into the woods in search of treasure. They’re creek crawling, the mother says. Will they find the perfect place to swim or maybe a long-forgotten pirate chest? Or perhaps something even more golden awaits.

In lyrical text and stunningly lush illustrations, this picture book poignantly captures the joy of discovering treasure in your own backyard and the sweetness that comes from sharing it.
