I’d heard great things about the Lynn McKee Erwin Conference on Children’s Literature for Tennessee teachers and was sad I couldn’t make it last year. When I received an invite from LME again this year, I excitedly jumped on it—and am glad I did. UT Southern did a fabulous job organizing and hosting this wonderful teacher resource, and I had a great time leading a session for attending K-8 educators. Plus, I got to hang out with awesome fellow presenters and organizers. Thank you, LME!

I was honored to participate in the 2026 Amelia Island Book Festival Authors in Schools Program. This incredible nonprofit organization supports children’s literacy and has made a huge impact in local schools and communities. Thanks to Southside & Bryceville Elementary for hosting me, and much love to my fellow authors who continue to support AIBF in its literacy mission! For more, visit: www.ameliaislandbookfestival.org

Every now and then, you meet someone whose heart shines so brightly it illuminates everything within its radius. Media Specialist extraordinaire Amy Johnson at Doughtrey Elementary is one of those people. I met Amy while leading a workshop at the Florida Association for Media in Education (FAME) Conference a couple years ago, and was thrilled to reconnect in person when she invited me to visit her school. Thanks to Amy, as well as the thoughtful students and staff, for making me feel so at home. What a fun day!
